My design skills were tested professionally when I was given the responsibility of creating a sweatshirt design for the University of Michigan’s Dance Marathon. I was given the parameters of two screen colors and a list of details that needed to appear in the design. I was given the sweatshirt color and the creative freedom to select the two logo colors. While creating the design, I felt that I should equally represent the pediatric rehabilitation patients that the program strives to support. I accomplished this by incorporating images of children in wheelchairs along with the dancing children to update UMDM’s historic logo.
